Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association Project Technician in Kenai, Alaska

This is a full-time, hourly position. Under the supervision of the Special Projects Manager, th is position performs a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to: *Assists with the maintenance of the warehouse facility, tools, vehicles, boats, outboard motors, sampling gear, and other equipment. *Assists with the maintenance of the headquarters or hatchery building, grounds, and equipment. *Assists with the fabrication of equipment. *Inventories and purchases supplies. *Assists in the transportation, set up, operation and retrieval of field equipment. Requires travel for periods of up to a month and housing at rustic field camp facilities. *Operates tools, off-road vehicles, boats, outboard motors, sampling gear, and other equipment. *Assists in all operations that support seasonal personnel while in the field including orientation and safety training. *Assists in conducting habitat projects, including but not limited to limnology sampling and lake fertilization. *May draft field reports and assist in computer data entry. *May assist with hatchery-related tasks such as egg takes.
