South Peninsula Hospital Clinical Informatics Specialist - PCN 152 in Homer, Alaska

Work Hours: 6 AM to 2:30 PM POSITION SUMMARY : The Clinical Informatics Specialist provides overall in-hospital software support, and training for clinical systems and applications as well as special projects assigned by the Clinical Informatics Analyst. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will work with staff and physicians to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE : Three years recent experience in clinical informatics required with minimum two years' experience working in a computerized clinical system or other information systems environment. Informatics experience in a hospital environment preferred; alternate direct patient care and clinical applications experience considered. Bachelors degree in Nursing or Informatics / Computer Systems required. Project management experienced preferred. Self-directed with diverse clinical knowledge
