Position Summary:UAA's Career Exploration & Services (CES) is looking to hire a Social Media & Marketing Student Leader to help design and produce marketing materials, maintain our digital presence, and support marketing activities on the UAA campus.

Duties:

The UAA Career Exploration & Services (CES) is looking to hire a Social Media & Marketing Student Leader to help design and produce marketing materials, maintain our digital presence, and support marketing activities on the UAA campus.

Duties may include:

• Help manage daily social media tasks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) - sourcing content, managing weekly updates and developing ideas for increasing outreach under supervision

• Create marketing materials like flyers, banners, brochures, posters etc. in a fast-paced setting

• Support department outreach activities, such as hosting info tables

• Participate in creative discussions about of new campaigns and promotions for CES programs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledge of Graphic Design Standards

• Strong attention to detail and interest in detail-oriented work

• Positive attitude, openness, willingness to learn and work collaboratively

• High level of proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

• Exceptional writing and editing skills

• Passionate about helping UAA students and alumni succeed

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds with accommodation

Education Requirements:

o Must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits for the Fall 2018 semester

o Hold at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

PREFERRED:

• Interest in Marketing or Public Communications field

• Familiar with Seawolves@Work (Powered by Handshake)
